Cellist Ember Richardson spreads the joy of music to all. Ember believes a love of music is built in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment, where musicians can explore, make mistakes, and experiment without fear. She wants to encourage bravery and curiosity in her students. Ember leans into a variety of teaching and performing, including private lessons, sectionals, and chamber coaching. She loves volunteering with her hometown public schools, where she works with elementary, middle, and high school cellists to improve their sections. She enjoys participating in the Walla Walla Symphony’s family educational concerts and Instrument Petting Zoo. With a decade of performing experience, she has played with the Mid-Columbia Symphony, Walla Walla Symphony, Walla Walla Choral Society, Whitman College Orchestra, Walla Walla University Orchestra, and the Walla Walla Youth Symphony. Currently, she studies with Professor Jennifer Culp at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
