ViBO Bay Area Music Competition

ViBO Bay Area Music Competition is designed to motivate and showcase musicians of all ages by celebrating their musical talent.   We accept all genres of music ranging from classical, jazz, pop, and traditional, and welcome all instruments including vocals.

To enter, participants need to submit video recordings of their performance before March 31^st. Following this, our team of well-qualified judges will evaluate each performance and provide their expert feedback to every entrant. Judges will then select multiple winners in each category:

Categories:	Age Groups
Young Instrumentalists	7-12
Junior Instrumentalists	13-17
Star Kids Singers	17 and under
Junior Ensembles	17 and under
Adults	18 and up

Judges

We are honored to have some of the finest local and international musicians judging this competition.  Each participant will receive feedback from two of the judges, including Elektra Schmidt (award winning pianist), Jessica Bejarano (founder of San Francisco Philharmonic), Jim Moore (singer/songwriter, Blues guitarist), Richard Yuen (musical director and producer in Canada and Hong Kong), and Victor Cervantes (vocalist, founder of Inspire Music, San Francisco).  Full bios of our judges coming soon!

Prizes

One winner from each category will be awarded with a $300 Scholarship to ViBO Music School, and the opportunity to perform at the ViBO Music 20 Anniversary Showcase at the Samuel Johnson, Jr. Performing Arts Center on May 13.

Other top performers will be awarded with a $100 Scholarship and will be offered to perform a special concert on a date to be announced.
