Learn all the basics for the guitar. This 12-week hourly class is designed for beginners. You will learn basic posture, fundamental chords, strumming patterns, and well known songs from different genres.

Objectives:
1. How to handle the guitar properly
2. Learn easy chords and how to apply them into songs from different genres
3. Learn several strumming and picking styles
4. Learn scale and chord formations and how to apply to the guitar
5. Learn how to read guitar music and how to intepret sheet music downloaded from the Internet
6. To accompany yourself on guitar in music of your choice using techniques that you learn in class
7. Learn techniques through many styles of music: folk, country, pop...past and present.

Rental fee is $25/month, with full deposit on the instrument (refundable). Please notify us when you sign up if you need a rental.

Learn to play the keyboards / pianos in a small-sized class. The instructor will guide the students through a fun and easy way to learn playing music on the piano. Students will receive much individualized attention and benefited from group playing activities. Learn how to read music, basic keyboard techniques, easy songs and chords. At the end of the session each student will be able to move to the next level of class, or sign up for private lessons for serious students.

This class is for total beginners. Students will learn how to tune and hold the violin along with proper bow technique to produce nice sound on the instrument. You will learn how to read notes. We will teach you many fun tunes including well-known classical themes, fiddle tunes, blues and popular tunes. If you don't have a violin, we'll provide a rental for you to take home.

In these fun and engaging ukulele classes, students will learn how to play the ukulele while having a great time making music together! Our experienced instructors will make sure students gain a solid foundation in ukulele playing and provide a supportive and encouraging environment.

No prior musical experience is necessary. We welcome kids of all sill levels and provide individual attention to ensure each student progresses at their own pace.

A fun, active music class for parents and children. With a special focus on movement, we explore music through singing, chanting, rhymes, bounces, circle songs, story songs and instrument exploration. A great way to bond with your child through music.

ViBO chamber orchestra is an ensemble that features strings, winds, keyboard and percussion. It focuses on a small group (around 10 members) to develop chamber skills such as strong communication and personalized education. The repertoire includes different styles mixing challenging with fun music for every member. A casual audition is required before joining this program. Please call (650) 877-0805 for an appointment.
