Shea Yurdana is an accomplished cellist and passionate educator with a deep love for orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoire. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he has performed with ensembles including the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, MYSfits, and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra.
As a soloist, Shea has presented recitals featuring works such as Hungarian Rhapsody and the Elgar Cello Concerto. He spent many years at the Chamber Music Camp of Portland, later serving as a counselor and mentor to younger musicians. Shea completed a postgraduate year at Interlochen Arts Academy and went on to earn his Bachelor of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying in the studio of Jennifer Culp.
As a teacher, Shea strives to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students build confidence, develop disciplined technique, and discover their own artistic voice.
