Milda Martisius
Milda Martisius spent most of her youth in Pasadena, Ca and Palm Springs, Ca. She loved music since childhood and went on to study violin and viola at Biola University in La Mirada, Ca. She recieved her Bachelor degree in viola in 2000. In 2004 she received her Masters in viola at Penn State University where she studied with Timothy Deighton, Gerardo Edelstein and Robert Nairn. Milda loved Pennsylvania so much while she was there she worked with the Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra, Altoona Symphony, Westmoreland Symphony, Johnstown Symphony, and taught at Juniata College. She also studied more at Duquesne University with Randy Kelly, principal violist of Pittsburgh Symphony. Studying music, teaching, and performing has brought her as far as China, Brazil, Spain, and Kuwait.
Currently, Milda is freelancing in the bay area and is principal violist for Kensington Symphony Orchestra. Milda loves seeing music students grow in their musical abilities.
