Junling Lai

Junling Lai, who began her piano studies at the age of four, is from Guangzhou, China. She teaches in both Cantonese and Mandarin.  Junling began studying piano at a young age under Professor Cai Songqi, Dean of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music. She holds Grade 8 certifications in piano performance from both Trinity College London and ABRSM.

With over eight years of teaching experience, Junling has taught nearly 50 students, guiding them through performances, competitions, examinations, and even personal recitals. She is dedicated to creating a relaxed and joyful learning environment where young students can truly appreciate the beauty of music.

Committed to continuous growth, she has explored a wide range of pedagogical approaches, including Kodály, Laban Efforts, healthful piano technique, Montessori principles, Trinity, and ABRSM frameworks. Her students describe her as responsible, optimistic, inclusive, fun, and imaginative — a teacher who inspires confidence and creativity at the piano.
